VANCOUVER, Wash. — Washington U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell was on hand in Vancouver on Monday for the grand opening of new apartment housing for homeless youth and those aging out of foster care.
The complex is called Caples Terrace Apartments, which was built by the Vancouver Housing Authority.
Cantwell is part of a bipartisan group of lawmakers seeking to expand the low-income housing tax credit.
She said it could bring 11,000 jobs and a billion dollars to Washington’s economy, along with new affordable housing.
