Cantwell: ‘Korean Americans Have Left an Indelible Mark on Washington State’

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) released the following statement in honor of the 5th Annual Washington State Korean American Day.

“Today we celebrate the achievements of Washington state’s Korean American community.

“The Korean American community has left an indelible mark on Washington state. Whether in politics, art or culture, the contributions of the Korean American community have made Washington state a better place to live, work or raise a family.

“The future looks bright for Washington state’s partnership with South Korea too. I was pleased to be a leader in the passage of America’s new Free Trade Agreement with South Korea. With this new deal, we can open up new Korean markets to Washington state goods and keep our products competitive in a global economy.”
