FY2027 Appropriations

Thank you for your interest in submitting an appropriations request to the office of Senator Maria Cantwell. Below is the Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) appropriations request form for Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS). All CDS requests to the Office of Senator Cantwell are tentatively due by 11:59 pm PDT on Sunday, March 8, 2026. For any questions during or after this process, please email appropriations@cantwell.senate.gov, including the project title and appropriations bill or agency related to the request.

Congressionally Directed Spending

Please use this form to submit any Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) requests for Fiscal Year 2027: FORM

CDS requests are targeted funding requests for specific projects that meet federal eligibility requirements.

In order to ensure timely consideration of requests, please be as thorough as possible in your application materials and complete all fields and subfields marked as required. Please refer to the guidance document throughout the process and follow instructions in the document, including answering any supplemental questions for the specific account you are applying under, found HERE.

Defense & Non-Defense Programmatic Appropriations

Programmatic requests are for broader funding priorities across federal agencies or programs, including bill or report language requests.

The Office of Senator Cantwell is not currently entertaining programmatic requests. Defense and non-defense programmatic appropriations request portals will open after the President’s Budget Request is released or the Senate Committee on Appropriations formally releases its guidance and deadlines for the Fiscal Year 2027 process.
