"Cantwell Community Connection" Program to Bring Constituent Services Direct to 11 WA Communities

Cantwell encourages Washingtonians to take advantage of one-on-one consultations with her staff this fall in locations across the state

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) announced that her staff will be visiting 11 Washington communities this fall beginning Friday, September 24th to provide one-on-one consultations to help Washingtonians access federal programs or navigate the federal bureaucracy. Officially called “The Cantwell Community Connection,” the tour consists of 11 one-day stops over a four-month period where members of Cantwell’s staff will be available to meet with individuals seeking casework assistance with federal agencies.

“One of the jobs that I have as a U.S. Senator is to help connect Washingtonians with federal programs that can help individuals and their families,” Senator Cantwell said. “I want to make sure this process is as easy as possible, and so this fall I will be sending my staff to a community near you. I hope you take advantage of this opportunity to work one-on-one with my staff, and get answers for the questions you have.”

Members of Cantwell’s staff will be available for assistance on a range of issues, including housing, veterans, military, social security, immigration, health care reform, and taxes. Examples of casework assistance available include:
